A portion of East Washington Street in downtown Orlando will close at noon Thursday for a Pulse benefit event.

The street, between Summerlin and Hill avenues in the Thornton Park neighborhood, will be closed from noon until 11 p.m. for "Latin Night for Pulse," a fundraiser for the employees of the Pulse nightclub.

The event, which starts at 5 p.m., will feature live music with the Rico Monaco Band and more, plus Latin food and drinks in the parking lot of Wildside BBQ Bar & Grill and Pulse DJs, entertainers and bar staff in the courtyard of the Veranda.

There's a $20 suggested donation, and all proceeds will benefit Pulse. For more information on the event, call 407-701-9382.
