A Daytona Beach LongHorn Steakhouse presented a check for more than $3,400 to the fire department Monday as they reopened for dinner months after being damaged by a fire.

The restaurant at 2504 W. International Speedway Blvd. had a grand reopening ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m., where they presented the check to the Daytona Beach Fire Department as the first responders to the December fire.

The 5,593-square-foot restaurant was remodeled and seats more than 200 guests. It features a new entrance, updated interior décor and art pieces, and a designated ToGo section in the lobby/bar area.

During its pre-opening training period, the restaurant will host friends and family events with proceeds benefitting the fire department. It will open for regular hours at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
