A crash in Daytona Beach Monday killed a child when one of the cars drove onto a sidewalk and hit a woman pushing the child in a stroller.

Police say they were in the process of reporting one of the drivers as Missing Endangered.

The crash happened in the area of Williamson Boulevard and Bent Tree Drive early Monday evening.

Daytona Beach Police say an elderly man driving a Mercury on Williamson Boulevard struck a Chevy Tahoe from the rear, causing it to roll over.

The Mercury than crossed over the median and drove onto the sidewalk, where it struck a mother pushing a stroller.

The child in the stroller was pronounced dead. The mother was taken to Halifax Hospital on a trauma alert.

Port Orange Police report they were in the process of reporting the elderly driver of the Mercury as "Missing Endangered."

Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said the driver suffered from Alzheimer's.
