One person was killed and another was injured in a crash Tuesday night in DeLand, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened between two vehicles at the intersection of East New York Avenue and Jesse Michael Drive.
According to troopers, one person died at the scene. The other person was transported to Halifax Health.
The eastbound lanes of East New York Avenue were shut down as investigators worked to clear the crash.
