A 77-year-old Melbourne man was killed Saturday morning after his car veered off Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the man was traveling southbound on I-95, near mile marker 188, when his Chevy Corvette left the road for an unknown reason.
The front of the car struck a pillar. The man died at the scene, FHP said.
The man’s identity has not been released as investigators work to contact his family.
The crash remains under investigation.
