A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night in a crash involving a semi-truck, according to Orlando police.

  • The motorcyclist died at the scene
  • E. Landstreet Road was shutdown for hours
  • The road closure prevented trucks from exiting the nearby UPS Center

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of East Landstreet Road.

According to investigators, the motorcyclist died at the scene.

Police said the identity of the motorcyclist could not be confirmed due to “the circumstances of the crash.”

East Landstreet Road from Atlantic Avenue to Boggy Creek was shut down for hours.

The closure affected the nearby UPS Customer Center.  According to police, UPS trucks were unable to exit because of the location of the crash.

The roads have since reopened.

The Orlando Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting the investigation.
