Two Orlando men were sentenced to federal prison Wednesday for their role in the armed carjacking of a Customs and Border Protection officer on vacation in Orlando.

Gregory McDonald and Dante Askins got 20 and 14 years, respectively.

On Aug. 12, 2015, Askins approached the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officer in the parking lot of his Orlando hotel and pointed a long-barreled .22 caliber revolver in the officer's face. Then Askins, along with McDonald and two minors, forced the officer in the backseat of his SUV at gunpoint. McDonald pistol-whipped the officer in the back of the head.

The officer was held for about two hours until OnStar location services contacted the SUV.

Both McDonald and Askins pleaded guilty in February.
