Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for the rest of the work week:

  • Warm and dry
  • Temperatures rising this week
  • Warmer Friday and weekend ahead

More warm and bright weather is in store for today with high pressure firmly in control. Outside of a minor afternoon shower near the west coast, much of the day will be dry. Highs will aim for the mid- to upper 80s.

Another poor to fair surf day is expected at the Atlantic beaches with a small northeast swell in the water. Wave heights will stay under 2-3 feet. Swimmers should be mindful of the moderate rip current threat; staying within view of a lifeguard is advised. Boaters will find a moderate chop on the Intracoastal as winds increase to 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

Fair skies will last into the overnight hours with lows falling into the mid- to upper 60s.

The overall weather pattern will not change much for the duration of the week. If anything, temperatures will heat up closer to 90-degrees by the weekend. Outside of a minor afternoon shower, no significant rainfall is projected at least for another week.
