The 2-year-old girl pulled from a swimming pool in Palm Coast Saturday has died, according to the Flagler County Sherriff’s Office.

The child was pronounced dead Monday at 11:50 p.m. at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.

Over the weekend, authorities responded to a home on Fort Caroline Court. They found the 2-year-old unresponsive. Paramedics were able to revive her and she was taken to the hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office said no criminal charges will be filed.

Flagler County’s fire chief said that warmer weather usually means an increase in the number of drownings.

A Water-Safety Day is being held Saturday, April 30 for parents and children.

The event is free and will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Belle Terre Swim and Racquet Club.

Swimming lessons will be offered for children.
