A Marion County woman has died after being pulled from a house fire Monday afternoon.
Marion County Fire Rescue said when firefighters arrived at the home at 10050 SW 188th Court, they found flames and heavy smoke coming through the roof.
Firefighters pulled Catherine Steinmetz, 73, from the home. She was taken as a “trauma alert” to Timber Ridge Medical Facility in Ocala, where she later died.
The State Fire Marshal is working to determine how the fire started.
