A 13-year-old boy who was shot Sunday afternoon has died, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
The shooting happened at a home on Spottswood Drive in the Conway Acres Subdivision in Orange County.
Deputies say Lavardo Fisher was visiting relatives at their home and was inside with two 18-year-olds. Investigators say one of the 18-year-olds found a gun in a bedroom and started playing with it. The gun went off, hitting Fisher, deputies said.
Fisher was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital in critical condition and died Monday night.
Deputies say the investigation continues.
