Two people are dead in an Orlando night club shooting that took place early Sunday morning. So far, no arrests have been made.

The reason behind the shooting is unclear at the moment. The Glitz Ultra Lounge parking lot was an active scene Sunday morning and afternoon. It has been a long day for detectives trying to find the suspects behind the shooting.

At 1 a.m. on Sunday, officers working in the nightclub on Universal Boulevard radioed in that shots had been fired inside the club.

Two people were killed and 10 others were injured. Police said there were about 300 people inside of the club at the time.

Lamont Hurley, who drives tourists for a living, said he avoids the area.

“I don’t work this area at night time anymore because this is like the third or fourth shooting that has happened over here,” he said.

Other people who work nearby say the number of recent shootings in the area make them afraid to go to work.

“For whatever reason, whether there was a drug lord or someone with a psychological disorder, however it would be, it makes me a little fearful,” said nearby worker Joshua Diaz.

Officials told us the club had three Orlando police officers on duty, an extensive security camera system, and that people were being checked as they came in the door. However, that didn’t stop the shooting from taking place.

“Some of the folks that were injured in those shootings were definitely innocent folks who were caught in the crossfire,” said Michelle Guido of the Orlando Police Department.

Guido also told us that none of the shots fired were from the officers inside of the club. We reached out the owner of the club, but have yet to receive a response.
