Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for Sunday:

  • Brief warm-up Monday
  • Chilly Tuesday
  • Strong winds through mid-week

Sunday began with cloudy skies, but sunshine quickly moved in for the afternoon.

Winds were strong out of the northwest, ushering in some colder air. Highs for Sunday did not even make it out of the 50s. We’ll see a brief warm-up Monday before we’re chilly once again on Tuesday.

Clear skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours.  Winds will remain breezy with temperatures falling to around 40 degrees. Wind chill will definitely be a factor, with most feeling like the mid-30s as we head toward daybreak on Monday.

Another front is set to move in Monday night. During the day, we’ll see mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures back in the mid-60s.

There is a slim chance for a shower Monday night, but most will remain dry. This front will impact our temperatures once again with highs Tuesday in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.  Strong winds will continue through mid-week.

While the Small Craft Advisory and Gale Warning will expire today, high winds will keep rough ocean condition around through mid-week.
