Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for the weekend:

  • Temperatures drop into the 50s and 60s
  • Windy conditions
  • Another cold front arrives Sunday for next week

Cold tonight, but at least the wind will be relaxing some.  Temperatures will get down into the 40s. Temperatures will remain below average for the next 6 days. We may see a few showers late Saturday, but not at all a washout. Cold wind returns for Sunday.

We’ve actually worked into a pattern set to keep us several degrees below average through the middle of next week. We do bump into the mid to upper 60s Saturday with an increase in the clouds early. A wrinkle in the atmosphere is forecast to spread a few late day, early overnight showers our way.

Behind this system, another round of cool and windy weather will prevail Sunday. Highs stay either side of 60 across the area.

Although we have a slight rain chance Tuesday, most of next week remains dry. Highs may slip below 60 Tuesday, then climb above 70 by the end of the week.

If you’re planning a trip to the beach Saturday, surfers can expect poor to fair conditions with a northeast wind swell. Wave heights will push over 3 to 4 feet, with a dominant period of 7 seconds. Unfortunately, the northeast swell will lead to an elevated rip current risk.
