A St. Cloud man was struck and killed early Monday morning while walking along U.S. 17-92 in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The 34-year-old man was walking in the westbound lanes of 17-92 near Hickory Tree Road shortly before 12:30 a.m., troopers said.
The front, right side of a Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Jose Florentino struck the pedestrian, according to the FHP report.
The victim, whose name has not been released, died from his injuries.
Troopers say charges are pending.
