The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is conducting a homicide investigation after a body was found Friday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the Richloam Management Area in the Southeastern portion of the county just before 11 a.m. after a couple who were trail riding in a Jeep discovered the body.
Deputies identified the body as Robert K. Banks, 31, of Lakeland.
Investigators are working with the Sumter County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause and manner of death.
