Orlando LYNX station reopens after suspicious suitcase scare

A suitcase shut down the LYNX bus station in downtown Orlando and delayed SunRail trains Wednesday afternoon.

Orlando police and fire crews were called to investigate the suspicious package at the LYNX station on North Garland Avenue. Amelia Street was also closed in both directions.

The station and roads were cleared shortly after 5 p.m.

SunRail was delayed at least 30 minutes because of the investigation. All trains were running on time as of 7 p.m.
