A Daytona Beach mother says her child came home from school covered with bruises several times. Now she is turning to DCF and Ormond Beach Police to investigate the school.

Tatiana McMains says the school did little to protect her 5-year-old.

She filed a report with Ormond Beach Police claiming one student tried to choke her daughter and another yanked down her pants.

"My daughter, she was assaulted at Calvary Christian Academy at the playground from two students from a different kindergarten class. And they assault her almost every day," said McMains.

McMains brought took daughter to Halifax Medical Center so doctors could take a look at her daughter's injuries, then she documented those injuries with her cell phone.

McMains reported the incident to the school's headmaster, who promised to look into the matter. But she says she has received few results.

Instead, McMains says the attacks grew worse.

Several days later, her daughter was playing outside during recess, presumably under the supervision of teachers, when she says her daughter told her a five-year-old boy from a different kindergarten class pulled her pants down.

That’s when McMains called Ormond Beach police to file a report.

A police spokesman says they are working hand-in-hand with the Department of Children and Families, who is also investigating.

"I can't say much except that we are cooperating with DCF while they look into the matter," said Dr. Aaron Gonzalez, the Calvary Christian Academy headmaster, during a phone interview.

McMains says she is not angry, but she does feel her family is being victimized.

"I feel sad. I feel it's not right. We’re victims," McMains said.

McMains pulled her children out of the school and now wants to warn other parents about what happened to her family.
