Driving on flooded roads is dangerous, but apparently standing along them isn't too safe, either.

Catfish and a swamp eel were found swimming and slithering through the floodwaters Tuesday morning in the Eagle Bay neighborhood in Kissimmee.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials said it was the first reported swamp eel sighting in Osceola County so far this year.

Residents in the Eagle Bay subdivision, which is located off Osceola Parkway, continue to deal with flooding after heavy rain over the last two days from remnants of what was Tropical Storm Erika.

The remnants of the former Tropical Storm Erika pushed lots of heavy rain across Central Florida on Monday, causing flooding in some areas.

More than 3.5 inches of rain fell in Orlando on Monday, breaking the record of 2.7 inches set in 1937.
