Seminole County leaders have approved a plan to market the county as "Orlando North."

The rebranding campaign has sparked much controversy and criticism, but county leaders said they need to show people across the country where Seminole County is, so they can attract more tourists.

The final logo for the marketing plan (pictured above) features the words "Seminole County" more prominently underneath "Orlando North." The county name was significantly smaller in a previously proposed version of the logo (pictured below).

The marketing campaign does not change or replace Seminole County's "Florida's Natural Choice" logo, but will be used in advertising to people outside of Central Florida to steer Internet users looking at destinations in greater Orlando toward Seminole County.
