The former coach of Oviedo High School's championship baseball team has been fired.

Tuesday night, the Seminole County Public School Board voted to teminate Harold Hitt from his job as a physical education teacher, after an alleged inappropriate relationship with a female student.

He resigned as baseball coach back in May. The school district started its investigation in April.

Hitt fought to get the position back last month, telling the school district that he did nothing wrong.

Hitt said he will appeal the school board's decision.
