Orange County deputies arrested 55 people after more than a dozen heroin overdoses in one day at one condominium complex.

A mobile intervention team set up at the Blossom Park complex, on Landstreet Road near the Beachline, made those arrests.

Specific details behind the 55 arrests, including the suspects' identifies, were not immediately released.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office created the team after at least 15 heroin overdoses — three of them fatal — in just one day at Blossom Park late last week.

In addition to the arrests, the sheriff's intervention team also issued 35 warnings.

To help deal with the growing heroin problem, substance abuse counselors and a nurse will operate out of a tent in the Blossom Park complex to help those dealing with drug-related issues.

Aspire Health, a nonprofit group, is partnering with Orange County to provide the services.
