A Missouri man was killed Sunday evening in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Volusia County.

The Florida Highway Patrol said 38-year-old Christopher Wright of Neosho, Missouri was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Kyle Summerfield from Grove, Oklahoma.

Troopers said the car was traveling north on the inside lane and for an unknown reason, Summerfield lost control and the vehicle traveled into the median and struck a culvert and several trees.

Wright was pronounced dead at the scene. Summerfield was transported to Halifax Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
