The search continues for a 22-year-old man wanted in connection with a July 3 murder in Ormond Beach, police said.

The Ormond Beach Police Department released new photos of Garrett Schroeder on Monday.

Schroeder is wanted for first-degree premeditated murder. He was last seen Friday morning leaving a home along Fox Hunter Flat in Ormond Beach.

A girlfriend of the person who lives at the home called police a little before 10 a.m. Friday after she found her boyfriend's body, according to police.

When the woman went inside the home, she said she smelled a strong odor and found the body.

Schroeder is believed to be operating a maroon-colored 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse with Florida license plate AUHW67.

Schroeder has ties to Tallahassee, Daytona Beach, South Daytona and the Ormond Beach area.

He's known to frequent Carrabba's Italian Grill, microbreweries and is known to be a gamer.

Police said the man might be armed.

Anyone within information on Schroeder's whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. James Doggett, of the Ormond Beach Police Department, at 386-295-7028.
