Sunday brought widespread showers and storms to the area, along with toasty temperatures.

Highs were able to climb into the upper 80s to low 90s before the rain moved in and cooled things down. Most of the showers and storms diminished around sunset.

While most will be dry as we head toward daybreak on Monday, a few showers may impact our morning. Expect mostly cloudy skies through the overnight hours with temperatures in the middle 70s.

With the front sticking around for another day, expect high rain chances for the start of our work week. There may be a few showers in the morning, then showers and storms likely in the afternoon.  Highs will once again climb to around 90 degrees.

As we move into the work week, we can expect the rain chances to slowly diminish. Highs will be in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s throughout the week. Lows will be in the mid 70’s.  In the tropics, no development is expected over the next few days.

The frontal boundary may help to spark some activity in the tropics early next week.

An area of low pressure may develop along this front and take on some tropical characteristics. While conditions are not conducive for tropical development, there is still a small chance over the next five days as it moves away from Central Florida.

The rest of the Atlantic remains quiet.
