The family of a 25-year-old man murdered at an Orlando apartment complex over the weekend made an emotional plea Thursday as police increased the reward for information leading to the victim's killer.

Orlando police said they had no new leads on who killed Adam Williams at the Village Springs Apartments on Sunday.

In tears Thursday, Williams' family shared their pain of the past few days as they struggled with why someone would kill their beloved son, brother and grandson.

"You could not kill his spirit," said Daisy Fischer, Williams' grandmother. "His spirit is very much alive, more alive today than when you took it."

Williams was staying at his sister's apartment, where he was found shot to death outside around 5 a.m. Sunday.

The apartment complex was the same place where a couple was found dead inside their apartment just two days earlier.

Investigators said the two homicides were not related, and they are looking for leads in Williams' murder.

"We are really looking for the public's assistance in this," said Orlando police Sgt. Wanda Ford.

Williams' family also pleaded for help, and sent a message to the killer.

"Wherever you are, whoever you are: You will be caught," said Fischer.

Orlando police are offering a $5,000 for anyone with information on the murder of Adam Williams. You can call in an anonymous tip to Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.
