The Flagler Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect who allegedly stole credit cards at Target in the Palm Coast Town Center.

The credit cards belong to a resident whose car was recently broken into at her home, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were able to release store surveillance video of the suspect, who is shown exiting Target. A loss prevention manager said the suspect used the cards to make purchases and to buy gift cards at the store.

The cards were also used at a Kangaroo convenience store and Walmart stores in Palm Coast and Ormond Beach, deputies said. The suspect is described as Caucasian and possibly driving a blue SUV.

“Residents should remember to remove any items of value from their vehicles and keep their vehicles locked at all times,’’ said Sheriff James L. Manfre. “Taking some added precautions to prevent crime can make a big difference.’’

The Sheriff’s Office wants residents to avoid being a crime victim by following these tips:

  • Remove all valuables from the interior of your vehicle
  • Cameras, computers, purses, wallets and other electronics should be locked in the truck or secured out of sight
  • Always lock your vehicle and activate the alarm, if installed
  • Park in well-lit areas when possible
  • Report suspicious activity immediately by calling 911
