Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend:

  • Rain chances  at 50% for July 4
  • The tropics remain quiet

A few isolated showers will be tapering off in Brevard and Osceola counties early tonight.  Clouds will continue to break apart for the rest of us with temperatures falling into the mid-70s.  Friday will start off mostly sunny, warm and muggy.

Clouds are expected to begin building around lunchtime, developing showers and storms early to mid-afternoon.  Some storms could become strong with heavy rain, frequent lighting, small hail, and gusty wind.  Scattered showers and storms will be moving West to East through sunset.

Little if any chance is expected for the weekend.  Highs will climb to the mid-90s with it feeling more like 100 each afternoon.  Scattered showers and storms will also be possible each afternoon, especially Saturday through Monday.

No tropical development is expected over the next 5 days. Your tropical update can be seen at :51 past every hour, every day!
