Seminole County Sheriff's Office is thanking a teenager for catching a serial burglar in one neighborhood.

Sheri Buholtz-Brownlow, 34, rang the doorbell of a teenager's home on Wekiva Cove, while she was alone at the house.

The teen didn't recognize her, so she didn't answer, but witnessed Buholtz-Brownlow look under the doormat.

The suspect then attempted to open the door and the teen slammed it shut. The teen gave deputies a description of Buholtz-Brownlow's getaway car and she was caught down the street.

Buholtz-Brownlow is facing five counts of burglary and three counts of grand theft.
