A man driving with his three-year-old daughter was arrested after he attempted to pull away from police when they questioned him for marijuana possession, according to the Winter Springs Police Department.

Brian Jones, 24, was found possessing 14 grams of marijuana, while he was on probation.

Police stopped Jones for a traffic violation. After noticing his nervous behavior, police conducted a drug search of his vehicle. Police found marijuana residue on the floor board. They also discovered a small bag inside Jones’ front pocket after questioning.

Jones’ arm became tense when police attempted to search him. He pulled away, but police were able to handcuff him, police said.

Jones was found to be in possession of marijuana packed in 3 separate packages. Police said because he was also driving with his 3-year-old daughter, they charged him with child neglect.

Jones was charged with 7 offenses and arrested without bail.
