Orange County deputies have arrested a man wanted in a deadly shooting that happened over the weekend.

Investigators said Carroll Bryan got into a fight with Johnny Turrell on Saturday night near Balboa Drive and Powers Drive, in Pine Hills.

Bryan, 40, was arrested Sunday night.

During the fight, deputies said Bryan chased Turrell for at least a block, firing at him as he ran.

Deputies said Turrell, 20, was shot at some point during the chase and died in the middle of the road.

"Disheartening, you know, because people have such lack of concern for other human beings when you're shooting, when there is other children. I mean, there is a school right here," said Holly Miethke, who lives near the shooting scene.

The school Miethke was referring to is Robinswood Middle School, just a couple of blocks west of the scene.

Bryan was booked early Monday into the Orange County Jail on first-degree murder charges.
