One person was transported to the hospital after being hit in a drive-by shooting in the Pine Hills area of Orange County, deputies said Friday.

The shooting happened shortly before 10:45 a.m. on the 2100 block of Beecher Street, which is near Mollie Ray Elementary School, east of Pine Hills Road and south of Silver Star Road.

Mollie Ray Elementary has on lockdown earlier Friday. The lockdown has since been lifted.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a group of people was standing outside a home just north of the school, when the suspect drove up and fired several shots at the group. The shooter then got back into the car and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with a minor injury to the foot.

Deputies said they are looking for the suspect, who was known to the group. No other details were immediately released.
