Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for Thursday and the upcoming Memorial Day weekend:

  • 30% chance of rain Thursday and through most of the weekend
  • Scattered storms bring risk of heavy rain, gusty winds, lightning and hail
  • Highs in lower 90s inland, slightly cooler on the coast

Only an isolated drop or two left going into tonight but more storms will fire up Friday afternoon. Overnight lows will not budge from where we’ve been for the past several nights, falling only into the low 70s.

A mix of sun and clouds is in the forecast for Friday. A front will drop south and become washed out over Central Florida.  Aside from a switch in wind direction, the front will not play a major role in the weather. We will still have high temperatures in the low 90s and a slight chance for afternoon showers and storms.

Our holiday weekend will continue to hold a slight chance for rain with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.  For now, Memorial Day has a 30% chance for afternoon storms with a high temperature of 90 degrees.  It will be feeling more like the mid to upper 90s through the entire holiday weekend.  Have a fun and safe Memorial holiday!
