An employee with the city of Palm Coast was arrested Tuesday for impersonating a law enforcement officer after deputies said he pulled over a woman in Putnam County last month.

Shaun Fuller, 42, of Palm Coast, was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and unlawful use of a blue light.

Fuller is an IT specialist with the city of Palm Coast. He was still an employee as of Friday, according to Cindi Lane, a city spokeswoman.

According to a Putnam County Sheriff's Office report, a Palatka woman reported that she was driving along State Road 207 on April 29 when she was pulled over by a car with a blue light on the dashboard.

The woman told deputies that she was approached by the man, later identified as Fuller, who indicated he was a law enforcement officer.

The report states Fuller warned the woman about a perceived traffic violation and then drove off.

Then on Sunday, May 10, a Putnam County deputy spotted Fuller's white, four-door Chrysler sedan and identified Fuller as the driver.

The victim in last month's traffic stop was able to identify Fuller from a photo lineup.

Fuller was arrested at the Flagler County Sheriff's Office's substation, which is located in the same complex as Palm Coast's city offices.

He was booked into the Putnam County Jail, where he remained Friday on $50,008 bond.

Putnam County deputies said there could be other victims who were stopped by Fuller in Putnam, St. Johns or Flagler counties. Anyone with a similar experience is asked to contact Detective Donny Jordan, of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, at 386-329-0823.
