Five people were arrested after an eight-month-long joint drug investigation in Seminole County.

The undercover investigation was executed by the Winter Springs Police Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Oviedo Police Department.

Investigators were able to establish contacts with street-level drug dealers and purchased heroin, cocaine, prescription medication and cannabis.

"As a result, law enforcement investigators were able to obtain and execute several search warrants on both residential and commercial properties," a Winter Springs police release states.

The names of the arrestees, including their charges, are as follows:

  • Michael Certain, 43, charged with one count of selling heroin within 1,000 feet of a specified area
  • Priscilla Ylipelkonen, 32, charged with one count of possession of Suboxone without prescription, one count of possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, one count of possession of drug equipment, four counts of selling heroin within 1,000 feet of a specified area
  • Willie Dove, 49, charged with two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a specified area
  • Ramon Ortiz III, 40, charged with six counts of possession and sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a specified area, one count of trafficking cocaine, three counts of selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a specified area and one count of drug equipment/possession or use
  • James A. Miller, 35, charged with two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a specified area, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of possession of a controlled substance without prescription and one count of possession of drug equipment
