Officials are urging those who attended a house party where a man was shot early Saturday to come forward with information.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Carlton Ashford.
Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to a home on the 12000 block of Sophiamarie Loop in the Vizcaya at Waterford subdivision.
When deputies arrived, they found several people fleeing a party and Ashford unresponsive.
Deputies started CPR on the victim, and emergency personnel arrived and transported him to Florida Hospital East, where he later died.
Witnesses told investigators the victim got into an altercation with another man and that man pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times, according to deputies.
