Dog owners in Flagler County have to consolidate dog parks for the time being because of major renovations.
The dog park at Palm Coast’s Holland Park has been due for an upgrade for years. Now, dirt is finally being turned on the dog park, as well as the rest of the area.
With Holland Park now out of commission for the year and a half, the only public dog park open in the county is at Wadsworth Park in Flagler Beach.
Dog owners told News 13 they’ve seen the park become fairly crowded on nice days.
But if there are any concerns about the park getting too much use, Flagler County parks personnel are keeping an eye on things.
However, a county spokesperson said they do not anticipate any problems in the coming months.
They do have rules clearly marked on the outside of the park, which can accommodate many more animals than Palm Coast’s park.
