The sixth annual Wounded Warrior Lone Sailor 5K and 10K is set to take place next weekend.
The race is put on by the Central Florida Navy League. Proceeds from the race will go toward the organization's Lone Sailor Memorial project.
The nonprofit organization is raising funds for a patriotic Long Sailor statue to donate to the city of Orlando at Blue Jacket Park in Lake Baldwin, the former site of a U.S. Navy training facility for more than 30 years.
The agency's fundraising goal is $440,000.
The race is set for Saturday, April 4, around Lake Baldwin.
