Law enforcement in Brevard and Flagler counties are on alert after the terror group ISIS released a kill list with local military personnel on it.

The list has personal information and instructs ISIS members and enthusiasts to target the people on it.

Flagler county Sheriff Jim Manfre said a serviceman with Palm Coast ties is on that list.

"We are taking these seriously, making sure our military personnel and their families are protected," said Sheriff Manfre. "We did find out that person no longer resides in Flagler county, but his parents do. We have made contact, we do not believe it is a credible threat at this time."

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said his office is also taking threats made to Merritt island residents seriously and providing extra protection to those threatened as needed.

"To me it's just another example of ISIS trying to strike fear through their cowardly actions," said Sheriff Ivey.

Both Ivy and Manfre said they're prepared for any attack or threat and downplay the ISIS threats.

"We are not afraid, we have an incredible exceptional life here in the United States and they are not a credible threat to the United States," said Sheriff Ivey.

A spokesperson for the FBI tsaid they are working with local law enforcement as well as the central Florida joint terrorism task force to monitor these threats and any similar ones.
