A Deltona man found guilty in the stabbing death of his wife was sentenced to death Thursday.

In October, a jury found Dwayne White, 44, guilty of first degree murder and recommended the death penalty.

White stabbed his wife, 42-year-old Sarah Rucker, to death in August 2011. Her body was found in the parking lot of a Miami Subs Grill in Longwood.

Just hours before she was found dead, investigators from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Rucker called 911, telling the operator that her estranged husband was dangerous.

Rucker was a mother of four from Deltona and worked as a surgical tech at Florida Hospital Altamonte.
