A 9-year-old Marion County boy is dead after a fire broke out in his home late Wednesday night.
Marion County Fire Rescue says the fire broke out around 11 p.m. at a mobile home in the 14000 block of North East 206th Lane in Hog Valley.
When firefighters arrived they found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Three family members were able to escape the home but the 9-year-old boy didn't make it out.
MCFR says 26 firefighters fought the fire.
The cause of fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.
