To use a construction term: Palm Coast’s City Hall is "going vertical."

The City Hall project in Palm Coast’s Town Center development is approximately a quarter complete.

This week, the concrete walls that were formed onsite are going up.

We also caught a glimpse of workers hoisting a section into place earlier.

The 41,000-square-foot facility will house city offices, community meeting rooms and City Council chambers.

Construction is expected to finish up this fall.

Staff is working on the moving plan to get entire departments moved into the new building with as little disruption as necessary.

If you want to keep tabs on the progress of the work, Palm Coast has set up a web page with photos, updates and even time-lapse video.
