The search is on in Orange County for a man who slapped a bag boy at a grocery store.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Publix off Dr. Phillips Boulevard on Feb. 15.

Deputies said an 18-year-old employee was walking back into the store when he spit on the ground.

A man then approached him, asking the employee if he just tried to spit on him. When the employee said no, the man slapped him.

Deputies said they're worried about other people in the area.

"This man is engaging in erratic-type behavior and that type of behavior could be exhibited upon other citizens within our Dr. Phillips area," said Cpl. Dave Burdick with the sheriff's office.

The Publix employee believes the man is homeless.
