Police said a driver having a medical issue hit a pedestrian before slamming into the wall of an Orlando beauty store Saturday afternoon.
The driver was killed, and the pedestrian was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. at East Colonial Drive and Shine Avenue, as the car slammed into the side of the Sunlight Nail Supply building.
East Colonial Drive was shut down from Fern Creek Avenue to Mills Avenue in both directions.
Police said the roadway may be blocked for several hours, and driver should avoid Colonial Drive in that area until further notice.
