A 14-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly crashing a stolen car into an Apopka home Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9:20 a.m. on Jerome Way.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the stolen car was driving recklessly and drove the car into the home.

Deputies said no one was in the home at the time of the crash.

"A couple of bangs woke everybody up here this morning," said Zach Saldana, a neighbor. "Came outside and saw all of these ambulances and firefighters, and kind of wondered what was going on and all of these cars banged up. And found out it was my neighbor down the street. Just thankfully nobody was home and got hurt or anything."

Investigators said the three teenage suspects in the car tried to leave, but were apprehended.

Deputies said the boy was charged with theft of a motor vehicle. The other two teens were released from custody.
