A 55-year-old woman was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash along southbound I-75 in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Dawn Eileen Asbra, of Lady Lake, was traveling south on I-75 around 8 p.m. near mile marker 309. For an unknown reason, Asbra's Ford Taurus was stopped in the southbound inside travel lane and facing east.

Joshua Alan Jones, 30, of Tampa, was traveling south in a four-door Chrysler and struck the driver's side of Asbra's car.

Asbra was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Jones and his 6-year-old son suffered minor injuries.

Charges are pending, troopers said.
