A 35-year-old Lake County man has been accused of recording himself on video raping three young girls between the ages of 6 and 10.

Jason High was arrested over the weekend at his home near Eustis, where investigators took a computer and storage devices into evidence.

High's next-door neighbors said they would see him pick up his daughter from the bus stop every afternoon, along with a handful of other kids.

Now, investigators want to talk to neighbors' children to find out if anything happened on those rides home.

"He would come home from work, and he has a red pickup truck, and he'd go down to pick up his daughter, we thought, from the school bus stop," Shelly Hayes said. "There would be other kids in the back of the truck, but I'd never pay any attention to it, because people do that all the time. They'd pick up other people's kids."

Now, Hayes and other neighbors are questioning High's actions, and investigators said they fear there could be more victims out there.

"All of the videos appeared to be homemade inside his residence, in what appear to be sleepovers at his house," explained Lt. John Herrell, with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. "In at least one video, you can see his face."

Investigators said they learned about the videos from High's former employer, Clements Pool Service. The owner told detectives he recently fired High and became suspicious after he told him to turn in his work-issued cellphone.

"He said he needed to get some stuff off there that he didn't want anyone else to see," Herrell said.

Investigators said High's employer went through the phone and contacted the Lake County Sheriff's Office after he saw a sexually explicit video of a child.

Deputies then arrested High and booked him into the Lake County Detention Center without bond.

"Everything about it is just disgusting, sickening," Hayes said. "I just can't believe that would happen."

Detectives said they know of at least three victims, but they may learn of more as they go through more than 250 videos and 2,000 images on High's devices. Deputies said some of his homemade child pornography was created as recently as last week.

"We fear that there are going to be more victims," Herrell said.

If convicted of multiple counts of capital sexual battery, High could face life in prison.
