A nontoxic liquid will keep a road in West Melbourne closed overnight.
The liquid leaked from a truck near Eber Road and Hollywood Boulevard. Eber is shut down between Hollywood and Durham Drive.
The West Melbourne Police Department closed down the roadway after an estimated 2,500 pounds of the liquid leaked onto the roadway.
Also closed are various turn lanes at Hollywood and Eber and at Alaqua onto Eber Road.
Work crews had to spread sand to soak up the mess. The road will be closed until crews examine it to make sure it's not slippery.
The road may have to be resurfaced.
