Kissimmee and St. Cloud are participating in the national Click It or Ticket campaign that starts Nov. 17 and ends on Nov. 30. Drivers not wearing seat belts can be issued a $116 ticket.
Andrew Stinson with the Kissimmee Police Department said, “We have a lot of traffic issues and a lot of traffic homicides and the main goal like I said before is to save lives. A lot of people take it for granted, take that extra second to put your seat belt on and they don’t realize how much it can save somebody’s life.”
If a child is not in a child seat, the driver can be issued a $166 ticket and receive three points on their license.
