A Kissimmee man was arrested Tuesday after deputies said he stabbed his mother's boyfriend.

The incident happened at a home on Paradise Cay Circle in Kissimmee.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said a woman told arriving deputies that she and her son, 22-year-old Matthew Joshua Jones, got into argument over money. During the dispute, the woman said, Jones threw a TV on the floor and began yelling at her.

She told deputies her boyfriend attempted to talk to Jones when he stabbed him several times.

The victim was able to secure Jones, and deputies took him into custody.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Jones is charged him attempted murder and was booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
